Hugh received his LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of Essex and was called to the Bar in England & Wales. During his degree, he spent a year studying French legal theory at the Université Jean Moulin in Lyon, France. Hugh also has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Studies from UCD Smurfit Business School, Dublin.

I set up an online hamper company with my brother in Dublin when I was 17. Learnt about ‘product bundling’ by literally bundling baskets full of random jars of fruit, pates, and biscuits. I still find the odd jar of preserved prunes at the back of the larder to this day!
