An education software company was interested in learning about the leading scalability issues of online learning programs. In particular, the company wanted to understand technology, personnel, and operational barriers faced by institutions that are interested in expanding their online learning programs.

• What criteria do schools use to select CMS vendors and products?


• What concerns or problems are programs experiencing with their current CMS?


• What would be the greatest catalyst to require the institution/school/department to grow their existing online program and/or launch a new initiative?

Methodology

For this custom inquiry, Eduventures conducted strategic interviews with directors of online programs at 20 institutions. Interviews were conducted between July 24 and August 10, 2007.
