Postsecondary Digital Content Demand Analysis 2005
In Postsecondary Digital Content Demand Analysis 2005, Eduventures surveyed 116 faculty members from 112 institutions to determine consumer attitudes towards digital content usage.
Eduventures' research indicates that 53% of postsecondary faculty believe that, within three years, they will use digital content in their teaching. In this report, the four aspects of demand for integrating digital content into postsecondary curricula are:
- Drivers of demand, including student demand and institutional support
- Demand trends by media type, such as e-textbooks and multimedia
- Demand trends by subject area, grouped by course of study
- Demand trends by level of technology-enabled teaching experience
Postsecondary Digital Content Demand Analysis 2005 explores these categories of demand in order to understand the motivations driving digital content adoption in the postsecondary space. This report identifies the challenges that digital media face, and makes recommendations to vendors regarding future opportunities in digital content sales.
