ProQuest, the publisher of information and education solutions, reported that it has signed an agreement to sell its ProQuest Business Solutions segment to Snap-on Incorporated for approximately $500 million. ProQuest Company will use most of the proceeds from the sale to pay down outstanding debt. Snap-on Incorporated is a manufacturer and marketer of tools, diagnostics and equipment solutions for professional users in industry, government, agriculture and construction.
