Hemscott, the UK business and financial information provider, is being reverse taken over in the US, while also obtaining a new US subsidiary. Hemscott will pay UKP 7.3 million ($13 million) in cash and shares for CoreData, a provider of financial information about US and Canadian companies. Meanwhile, CoreData's parent, Centrepoint Data, is acquiring a majority stake in Hemscott and has pledged to provide the combined group with UKP 20 million for acquisitions.
