GE Healthcare Invests in Networks, Helps Create Opportunities for STM Publishers

November 12, 2009

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and, more specifically, the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH) were passed February 13, 2009. This legislation represents a significant step forward in providing funding and incentives to accelerate adoption of standardized and interoperable electronic business and clinical technologies in healthcare in the US. It will also create many new opportunities for publishers selling content-based solutions at the point-of-care. GE’s contribution to the pot can only make this market place more attractive for STM players large and small.
