Thomas Publishing shutters 'IEN-U.S.'
March 31, 2009Thomas Publishing announced that it is closing the U.S. edition of Industrial Equipment News, a trade publications covering new products for the manufacturing industry. Publication will cease with the May 2009 issue. Thomas cited “current economic conditions” for the move. The company said that it will continue to publish its other editions of IEN serving the “Pan-European, German, Italian, French, Turkish, Japanese and Brazilian markets.” In a statement, the company said, “We will continue to provide industrial product news to our b-to-b customers through other channels, including online via ThomasNet’s Industrial NewsRoom.”
