National Magazine Company appoints chief executive

The National Magazine Company has appointed Arnaud de Puyfontaine as its new chief executive. De Puyfontaine, 44, is former president of French magazine publishers Mondadori France, former chief executive of Emap France, and worked for Le Figaro between 1990 and 1995. De Puyfontaine, who starts in May, replaces Duncan Edwards, who became president and chief executive of Hearst Magazines International in February. Natmag, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hearst, has 20 titles in the UK, including Cosmopolitan and Reveal.
