The Independent Offers iCopyright's Instant Licensing and Permissions Services for its Web Content - Breaks First Day Record
October 16, 2008The Independent, a leading national daily newspaper serving the United Kingdom, has deployed a suite of iCopyright's content licensing tools on its World Wide Web content at www.independent.co.uk. This implementation marks the first time iCopyright's familiar licensing tools have been deployed by a major media property outside North America and the first such agreement to be executed by iCopyright's UK partner, The Reprint & Licensing Centre. iCopyright processed more than 4,000 instant licenses and ad-supported permissions for The Independent on the first day of operation - a record.
