Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS)

Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS), an operating division of the American Chemical Society, is a publisher of chemical and related scientific information. It collects and standardizes publicly disclosed chemical information from literature, patents and open web sources and provides access to databases through customized search, retrieval and analysis tools. Customers include patent offices, pharmaceutical and chemical companies, universities, life science companies and organizations doing substance-based research.
