Summer is a time of recreation and rejuvenation, and I trust that all of our readers will enjoy both in the coming weeks. The work will always be there, but it’s important to take a break, take stock, and recharge your battery in order to tackle challenges creatively.

In fact, I’ll be following this advice and taking a sabbatical this summer for the first time in the 12 years since co-founding Outsell. The company has a fantastic leadership team in place, and it’s a good moment for me to pause and reflect. Rest assured that Outsell remains fully staffed, revved up and in good hands, and we’ll continue to provide our clients with the best research and advice to help advance the business of information.

As you’ll read below, this summer Outsell is launching our Technology Leadership Council, readying a truly inspiring program for Outsell’s Signature Event in the fall, releasing our annual market size & share reports – the core of our unrivaled information industry data and analysis, and continuing to offer a variety of services to help information industry executives and managers succeed.

Outsell’s Technology Leadership Council
We’re launching our newest council – Outsell’s Technology Leadership Council (TLC). Modeled after Outsell’s Leadership Council, the invitation-only TLC provides a confidential, peer-to-peer environment for chief technology officers, chief information officers, vice presidents of IT, and vice presidents of product development in information and publishing companies.

Outsell’s TLC will be chaired by Frank Gilbane, President of Outsell’s Gilbane Group, Marc Strohlein, Outsell’s Chief Agility Officer, and Bill Trippe, VP & Lead Analyst, Outsell’s Gilbane Group. The council highlights the synergies resulting from the union of Outsell and the Gilbane team of content technology experts.
