CEO Reflections: Where's the Money?
We've made it through "June gloom" here in the foggy San Francisco Bay Area, and the summer is bright at Outsell as we continue to provide unique, high-quality, fact-based analytics that help our clients follow the money and advance the business of information.
We've just completed three major studies of the advertising, library and end-user markets to help leaders understand all three primary money flows in the industry. Also just in: our third annual nationwide study of 5,000 consumers to gain a deeper understanding of their news consumption patterns. This year's study is the first to examine consumers' willingness to pay for online news and will inject facts into the paid content debate. We're planning to replicate this study in the UK with a newly launched multi-client project.
Enterprises are following the money too, to ensure optimal spend in their information budgets and functions. Our team has been focused on helping enterprises rationalize, evaluate, and manage their spending on information portfolios and how well their functions are performing in their enterprise, overall.
