News Publishers Have Moms in Their Sites
In the US, there’s a baby boomlet of newspaper-created websites for moms. By Outsell’s count, more than six dozen will be up by year’s end. In this report, we focus on those companies – Gannett, Tribune, Hearst, MediaNews, Freedom, and the Boston Globe – that are leading the charge. These companies believe that niche sites for mothers are the right product at the right time. In researching this report, Outsell surveyed more than a dozen sources on niche site content and monetization. We also harvested our own and industry data to provide relevant context. This report contains:

- Details of the competitive landscape, including threats and opportunities in the market;
- Screenshots with more examples and analysis of what drives usage of niche sites for moms;
