Kate Worlock, Director & Lead Analyst

In her capacity as Director & Lead Analyst, Kate Worlock leads Outsell’s coverage and research on educational publishing (K-12, higher ed, and training). In addition, she tracks the usage and application of social media, assessing its relevance to publishing and information businesses. Furthermore, Kate serves as an executive-level advisor and consultant to clients on issues such as M&A, due diligence, private equity, and investment banking, and covers industry financial performance and benchmarks.

In March 2008, Kate was elected to the Content Division Board of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), which provides a forum for companies that are in the business of publishing and distributing content online, or offer technologies or services that facilitate the distribution of information products. The board guides the content division in developing effective approaches to emerging issues and producing deliverables of special interest to members. Kate also serves on the board of the UK Data Publishers Association (DPA).
