More About Cindy
Favorite reads: Historical fiction, fiction (Russian and English novels); I'm in two book clubs so I am always reading something
Movie I like: To Kill a Mockingbird
Music I listen to: Rock, classical, musicals, country-western (especially classic country, not top 40), big band music, and on and on
Favorite city: Reykjavik, Iceland. Iceland is my favorite country because of its ruggedness, 100% literacy, and the fact that it's where the early US astronauts trained for landing on the moon
Best vacation I've taken: Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama - liked it so much I went back with my 11-year-old niece
Where I grew up: Several places, including Bavaria in Germany, which I loved
First job: Recreation Leader Aide
First car: 1951 Plymouth that I shared with my two brothers, so it was always a tussle to actually drive it
Activities outside work: High-altitude backpacking (over 10,000 feet), bicycling, tutoring adult learners in reading and writing
Offbeat collections: Children's alphabet books and wordless books (over 400 titles); bride and groom cake toppers; silver gravy boats (which I use for ice cream sauces)
Best neighborhood get-together: Dessert party for all the neighborhood kids and their parents
